Talk:Music and Poetry

I'm not about the format for Tarot and poetry entries. I notice the mention of TS Eliot's "Wasteland". Marge Piercy wrote a wonderfully specific interpretation of "Seven Pentacles". In fact, the poem is simply called that. Would one simply list publication details or provide links?

There are a couple of web pages dealing specifically with modern ( but not too bad poetry.

I am writing a paper myself on the poetry and tarot as allegorical expressions of commonly recognised archetypes. I'm going to try to publish it. If I was successful, would there simply be a reference, or would I publish the entire paper here? As I write I recall that anyone can edit so perhaps that would not be the best idea.

It might be good to have a general exploration of the theme anyway - visual allegory and poetic allegory.

Just some ramblings but I'd be interested in your thoughts.

Le pendu and I had talked a little bit about this some time back, and again briefly recently. If a contemporary tarot poem exists (and there are of course hundreds), there is no reason to not have it linked and discussed as a poem in its own discussion page. For this purpose, we have just added a new template for published poems.
It would, if we instead published poems within, transform Tarotpedia to potentially hundreds of personal pages with either poems or personal chapters. Some poetry, such as the Boiardo from the 15th century, is included for historical accessibility.
Thanks for the additional suggestion resulting in a new template and further pages of interest to everyone! Jmd 16:12, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
